Health, wellbeing and facelifting

The way we as people live life has changed dramatically over the last 50 years, people have said no to traditional living, to live a life which is full of more options.  Convenience is one of those options, with takeaway food a convenience which is on every street corner, and usually can be bought from early in the morning, until late into the night.  This convenience of take away food has not only had an effect on health, but on lifestyle too.  A walk to the local shop has now been replaced with a drive to the local shop, although the shop itself may only be 5 minutes walk, people would prefer not to have the hassle of walking.  It is the same hassle that people feel when they are venturing out on the school run in a morning, with many mothers now taking the kids to the school gates in the car.

Playing outside for children has been replaced with television and computer games, television was seen to many as a baby sitter, with many kids spending hours watching the television, it is no wonder that eventually this would have a detrimental affect on health and wellbeing.  Exercise and healthy eating is important to both children and adults, and it is essential that the body receives good nutrients from food in order to thrive.  Lack of exercise and a bad diet can lead to type II diabetes and heart disease, so although plastic surgery is seen as an easy get out, it is beneficially to anyone considering plastic surgery to live a healthy lifestyle.  Health and wellbeing is at the forefront of everyone’s minds nowadays, the government have launched a campaign called the five a day campaign to make people think about what they are eating, and the affect that unhealthy eating can have on the body and NHS resources.

A good way of ensuring optimum health is by eating five a day, which means eating five pieces are fruit or vegetables during the day, this can include orange juice which would count as one piece of fruit.  Eating well and exercising releases hormones which makes us feel good.  People often opt to have plastic surgery in order to make them feel good about themselves.

If the patient is healthy and eats well prior to surgery, it can help the body repair itself.  If the patient is unhealthy prior to surgery, the recovery time could be longer.

Before any procedure such as face lifting and breast reduction (Brustverkleinerung) is considered, it should be well looked into by the patient.  A reputable clinic is always recommended with consultants who are well recommended.  Any surgical procedure which enhances the body or face, will make the patient feel good about themselves.  Programmes such as extreme makeover have enhanced peoples assets and facial features, and some of the people who have took part in the programme have never looked back.
